About
The studios occupy a row of low colonial buildings close to the Teatro Principal, one of the oldest theatres in the Americas. It is a relaxed place to watch artists at work, browse watercolours of the city's tiled façades and take a break from the grander monuments a few streets away.
Best time to go: Wander through in the afternoon, then continue to the nearby Callejón de los Sapos and the El Parián crafts market.
