About
The Zsolnay factory became celebrated in the late nineteenth century for its glowing eosin glazes and frost-resistant pyrogranite tiles, which adorn buildings across Hungary. For the city's year as European Capital of Culture in 2010 the old works were turned into a quarter of museums, galleries and workshops.
Best time to go: Allow half a day to wander the restored factory buildings, galleries and the family mausoleum.
