About
Founded alongside the Brera Academy at the turn of the nineteenth century, the gallery occupies a grand palazzo with an arcaded courtyard and a bronze Napoleon at its centre. Its collection includes Mantegna's Lamentation over the Dead Christ, Raphael's Marriage of the Virgin and Caravaggio's Supper at Emmaus.
