About

Notre-Dame Cathedral Basilica of Saigon was built between 1877 and 1880 by the French colonial administration, which first called it the Church of Saigon. Its official name is the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, and the name Notre-Dame has been in use since 1959. Its twin bell towers and brick facade face a small square in the old centre, beside the Central Post Office.

Best time to go: See it from the square in the morning light, and pair it with the Central Post Office across the road.
