About
The church has been rebuilt several times, serving the Venetians, becoming a mosque under the Ottomans and returning to Orthodox worship in the twentieth century. It keeps the relic of Saint Titus, companion of Saint Paul and the first bishop of Crete, returned from Venice in 1966.
Best time to go: Visit in the morning and look for the reliquary holding the skull of Saint Titus.
