About
Built in the second half of the nineteenth century, the cathedral is dedicated to Saint Minas, the city's patron. Its twin bell towers and large dome dominate the square, and its interior is richly decorated with icons and wall paintings; the smaller eighteenth-century church beside it holds fine older icons.
Best time to go: Step inside between services, then visit the small older church of Agios Minas beside it.
