About

Built in the late eighteenth century for the town's Serbian merchant community, the church is still known locally as the Rác Church. Its restrained exterior hides a richly gilded interior with a tall iconostasis crowded with painted icons.

Best time to go: Visit in daylight to see the gilded iconostasis catch the light from the windows.
