About
Completed in 1910, the domed City Hall was modelled closely on Belfast's City Hall and remains the grandest building in the city centre. Alongside the council chamber it contains the Durban Art Gallery, with a strong collection of South African art, and the Natural Science Museum, with its stuffed animals, dinosaur models and a dodo skeleton.
Best time to go: Go on a weekday and visit the Art Gallery and Natural Science Museum inside.
