About
Opened in 2004 at the southern end of the beachfront, uShaka combines one of the largest aquariums in Africa with a water park and a beach. Visitors walk through the decks of a replica shipwreck to tanks of sharks, rays and turtles and a colourful coral reef, while slides and pools make it a favourite with families.
Best time to go: Arrive early and start with the aquarium before moving on to the water park in the afternoon heat.
