About
Laid out for the Federal Garden Show of 1957, the Rheinpark is a classic of post-war German landscape design. Its lawns, flower beds, fountains and small pavilions stretch along the east bank of the Rhine, and the Cologne Cable Car crosses overhead to the zoo on the opposite shore.
Best time to go: Ride the cable car across the river to the park on a fine afternoon and picnic on the lawns.
