About
Founded on the gift of the collectors Peter and Irene Ludwig, the museum moved into its distinctive building with zigzag roofs in 1986. Its holdings include one of Europe's largest Picasso collections, an outstanding group of American Pop Art, German Expressionism and the Russian avant-garde, alongside photography and changing exhibitions.
Best time to go: Pair it with the cathedral next door; allow most time for the Pop Art and Picasso rooms.
