About
Opened in 1993 in a glass and metal building on a peninsula in the Rheinauhafen, the museum traces cocoa from its origins in Central America to modern production. A tropical greenhouse grows cocoa plants, a working production line turns out chocolates and a tall fountain of warm chocolate offers a sweet finale.
Best time to go: Go early in the day to avoid school groups, and taste from the chocolate fountain at the end.
