About
Named after an eighteenth-century sculptor from Coimbra, the museum holds medieval sculpture, paintings, gold and silver work. Beneath it lie the vaulted galleries of the Roman forum of Aeminium, a remarkable underground space that visitors can explore.
Best time to go: Start in the Roman galleries beneath, then finish on the terrace for the view.
