About
Sint-Janshospitaal cared for pilgrims, travellers and the sick for some eight centuries. Its medieval wards now tell that story through furniture, instruments and art, and the former chapel displays masterpieces by Hans Memling, including the gilded Shrine of Saint Ursula. The old apothecary survives nearby.
Best time to go: Save time for the Memling paintings in the former chapel, the highlight of the visit.
