About
Built in the twelfth century, the church later became the place of worship for the German merchants of the Hanseatic League. Its twin towers rise above the rooftops behind Bryggen. Inside, a richly carved baroque pulpit and medieval altarpiece reflect centuries of Hanseatic patronage.
Best time to go: Pair it with a walk through Bryggen, which lies just below the church.
