About
Named after the princely mansions and a well that once stood here, Wangfujing has been a commercial street for centuries. Today it combines department stores and malls with old shops selling tea, silk and calligraphy supplies, and the grand St Joseph's Church rises halfway along.
Best time to go: Stroll the pedestrian street in the evening and look into St Joseph's Church along the way.
