About
Facing Tiananmen Square, the museum occupies a vast building that was expanded and reopened in 2011. Its Ancient China exhibition is the highlight, displaying bronzes, jades, ceramics and sculpture from the Neolithic era through the imperial dynasties, while other galleries cover modern history and art.
