About
Built over the eighteenth century on the site of the Tre Kronor castle, which burned in 1697, the palace has more than six hundred rooms. Visitors can see the state apartments, the Royal Chapel, the Treasury with the regalia and Gustav III's museum of antiquities.
Best time to go: Time your visit for the changing of the guard in the outer courtyard around midday.
