About

Designed by Ragnar Östberg and completed in 1923, the City Hall combines Nordic brick with Venetian inspiration on the shore of Lake Mälaren. The Nobel banquet is held in its Blue Hall each December, and the Golden Hall above is lined with some eighteen million gilded mosaic tiles.

Best time to go: Join a guided tour and climb the tower in summer for the view over Riddarfjärden.
