About
Founded in 1257, Malá Strana was rebuilt after a great fire in 1541 and later filled with the palaces of noble families. The green dome of St Nicholas Church dominates its main square, while quiet walled gardens, the island of Kampa and the graffiti-covered Lennon Wall reward slow exploration.
Best time to go: Wander the lanes below the castle in the early evening, taking in Kampa Island and the Lennon Wall.
