About
The New Sarawak Legislative Assembly Building is where the state's elected members meet to debate and pass laws. It stands on the north bank of the Sarawak River, between the Astana and Fort Margherita. The King of Malaysia, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin, opened it on 27 July 2009. Its tall roof dominates the view from the waterfront across the river.
Best time to go: See it from the waterfront after dark, when its golden roof is lit.
