About
The present Gothic cathedral was consecrated in 1364, and most Polish monarchs were crowned and buried here. Its golden-domed Sigismund Chapel is a Renaissance masterpiece, the crypts hold kings, national heroes and poets, and the tower houses the Sigismund Bell, rung only on important occasions.
Best time to go: Climb the tower to see the great Sigismund Bell, then visit the royal crypts below.
