About

Established in 1976, the museum presents the ecology, geology and palaeontology of Pakistan through its exhibits and galleries. Its collection numbered around 1.6 million specimens by 2024, and it also works as a research centre. It is managed by the Pakistan Science Foundation and works closely with the Lok Virsa Museum, which stands close by in the Shakarparian area.

Best time to go: Combine it with Lok Virsa nearby for a half day of museums in the Shakarparian area.
