About
Haga grew up in the seventeenth century as one of Gothenburg's first suburbs and later became a working-class district. Saved from demolition in the late twentieth century, its restored landshövdingehus, with stone ground floors and wooden upper storeys, now hold cafés, boutiques and craft shops.
Best time to go: Stop at a café for a giant cinnamon bun, then climb to Skansen Kronan above the district.
