About
Laid out in the 1870s, Slottsskogen is the city's great green lung, a landscape of forests, meadows and lakes. It has a small zoo of Nordic animals, a seal pond and the Natural History Museum, famous for the only stuffed blue whale in the world.
Best time to go: Walk through on a summer afternoon and see the seals and elk in the free animal enclosures.
