About
Qorikancha was the most sacred temple of the Inca empire, its walls once covered in sheets of gold. The Spanish built the church and convent of Santo Domingo on top, but earthquakes revealed the perfectly fitted Inca masonry, including chambers and a great curved wall that still underpin the colonial buildings.
Best time to go: Visit in the morning and look for the curved Inca wall that has survived several earthquakes.
