About
The street follows the line of a river channel that was covered over in the late eighteenth century, which explains its distinctive curve. Lined with department stores and shops, it leads to St Patrick's Bridge, and the lanes off it are full of cafés, pubs and independent shops.
Best time to go: Stroll from the Grand Parade to St Patrick's Bridge, with detours into the side lanes.
