About
The market dates from 1788, and its Victorian hall with a fountain and cast-iron columns is one of the oldest of its kind in the world. Stalls sell local fish, cheeses, spiced beef and the traditional Cork speciality of tripe and drisheen, alongside breads and produce from around the county.
Best time to go: Go in the late morning and have lunch at the café on the upper gallery.
