About
Completed in the fifteenth century on a terrace above the river, St Vitus is a lofty Gothic hall church with rib vaulting and a mix of Gothic and Baroque furnishings. Its octagonal tower, seen from the castle across the river bend, is one of the classic views of the town.
Best time to go: Step inside after the castle, when the quiet nave makes a calm contrast to the busy lanes.
