About
Opened in 1897, the hall is the largest and oldest indoor market in Budapest, its roof glazed with colourful Zsolnay tiles. The ground floor is devoted to butchers, greengrocers and paprika sellers, while the gallery above offers embroidery, souvenirs and simple Hungarian dishes.
Best time to go: Visit on a weekday morning for the liveliest stalls, and head upstairs for crafts and snacks.
