About
A fountain figure has stood on this corner since at least the fifteenth century, and the present bronze replaces a seventeenth-century statue by Jérôme Duquesnoy the Elder, now kept in the city museum. The little figure owns a wardrobe of around a thousand costumes, many of them gifts from visiting delegations.
Best time to go: Check whether he is in costume that day; his wardrobe of outfits is changed regularly.
