About
One of Bangkok's oldest temples, Wat Pho was rebuilt and expanded by the early Chakri kings. Its golden Reclining Buddha is around forty-six metres long, with soles inlaid with mother-of-pearl, and the complex holds hundreds of other Buddha images, four great tiled chedis and a renowned school of traditional medicine and massage.
Best time to go: Come in the late afternoon when it is quieter, and end with a traditional massage at the temple school.
