About
Founded some decades before Ayutthaya became the capital, the temple stands where rivers meet south-east of the island. Its tall hall houses Luang Pho Tho, a gilded seated Buddha around nineteen metres high, and the temple is especially popular with the Thai-Chinese community.
Best time to go: Visit in the morning to see worshippers making offerings of saffron cloth to the great Buddha.
