About
Opened in 2002 near the site of the ancient library, the Bibliotheca is shaped like a great tilted disc rising from the ground. Its granite outer wall is carved with letters and signs from scripts around the world, and its terraced reading room is one of the largest in the world. Inside are museums of antiquities and manuscripts, a planetarium and galleries.
Best time to go: Join a guided tour of the reading room, then see the manuscript and antiquities museums inside.
