نبذة

The mosque commemorates Suleiman the Magnificent's conquest of the island in 1522 and was rebuilt in the early nineteenth century. Its pink plasterwork, Renaissance-style portal reused from an earlier building and slender minaret make it one of the most recognisable Ottoman monuments of the old town.
