About
Completed in the fourteenth century, the tower once stood joined to the cathedral nave, until a storm in 1674 brought the nave down and left it standing alone. Guided climbs pass the chapels and great bells on the way to the top, from where the view on a clear day stretches to Amsterdam.
Best time to go: Book a guided climb in advance; it is well over four hundred steps to the top.
