About
The tower survives from the church of Saint Demetrius, with a Romanesque lower part and a Gothic upper storey. When the old church was cleared for the new cathedral, the tower was kept, its upper section rebuilt from original stones in the 1920s.
Best time to go: Pause here on Dóm Square and compare its old stonework with the cathedral behind.
