About
The theatre stands beside Plaza Independencia, the large central square at the heart of the city rebuilt after the 1861 earthquake. Opened in the 1920s, it stages concerts, theatre and dance, and the plaza outside, with its fountains and shaded paths, is one of the most pleasant places in Mendoza for an evening walk.
Best time to go: Check the programme and book a concert, then stroll Plaza Independencia and its evening crafts fair.
