The Bahia, whose name means brilliance, was built in the late nineteenth century for the grand vizier Si Moussa and enlarged by his son Ba Ahmed. A sequence of reception rooms, riad gardens and a vast marble courtyard shows the finest Moroccan craftsmanship of the age, from carved stucco to painted wooden ceilings.
