About
Laid out in the 1530s, Stortorget was one of the largest squares in northern Europe in its day. The richly decorated Town Hall stands on its eastern side, and a statue of King Charles X Gustav, who won Skåne for Sweden in 1658, rises in the middle.
Best time to go: Walk through on the way to Lilla Torg and admire the Town Hall's ornate facade.
