About
Wren's cathedral was completed in the early eighteenth century on the site of its medieval predecessor, lost in the fire of 1666. Visitors can test the acoustics of the Whispering Gallery, climb to the outer galleries of the dome and see the crypt tombs of Nelson and Wellington.
Best time to go: Save energy for the climb to the Golden Gallery, which gives one of the best views of the City.
