About
Toshhovli, the 'Stone Palace', was built between 1830 and 1841 for Allah Kuli Khan, ruler of the Khiva Khanate. It has more than 260 rooms grouped around three courtyards. The harem fills the northern part, the audience hall of 1830 to 1832 the south-east, and the court of justice of 1837 to 1838 the south-west. It lies inside Itchan Kala, part of the World Heritage Site.
