Konak Square has long been the heart of the city, set by the waterfront and bordered by government buildings. It hosts the Clock Tower and the small Yalı Mosque and leads into the busy lanes of the Kemeraltı market.
Best time to go: Walk here from the Kordon promenade in the late afternoon, when the square is busiest.
