About
The Hanoi Opera House was built by the French colonial administration between 1901 and 1911 as the city's municipal theatre. It stands on August Revolution Square at the head of Tràng Tiền Street. It is one of three opera houses built in French Indochina, alongside those of Haiphong and Saigon, and its grand facade remains one of the finest colonial buildings in the city.
Best time to go: Admire the facade at dusk from August Revolution Square, or book a performance to see the interior.
