About
Yue Fei led Song armies against the Jurchen invaders before he was imprisoned and executed on false charges in 1142. Later rehabilitated, he was honoured with this temple near his tomb by West Lake, where a statue of the general sits in the main hall and iron figures of his accusers kneel in disgrace before the grave.
Best time to go: Combine it with a walk along the northern shore of West Lake, as the temple sits just across the road.
