The museum displays artefacts excavated from Gyeongju's tombs, temples and palaces, including gold crowns, jewellery, pottery and Buddhist sculpture. Outside stands the Divine Bell of King Seongdeok, cast in the eighth century and renowned for its size, decoration and resonant tone.
Best time to go: Allow a couple of hours and begin with the great bronze Emille Bell in the grounds.
