About
The university opened in 1849 as one of the Queen's Colleges, and its limestone quadrangle was modelled on Christ Church in Oxford. The cloisters and courtyard are open to visitors, and the campus stretches along the riverbank with pleasant walks.
Best time to go: Walk through the quadrangle, then follow the river path back towards the cathedral.
