About
The Stradun runs from the Pile Gate to the old port, following a channel that once divided the island settlement from the mainland. After the earthquake of 1667 it was lined with uniform Baroque houses, and it is framed by Onofrio's Fountain at one end and the Sponza Palace and bell tower at the other.
Best time to go: Walk it early in the morning, when the polished limestone gleams and the crowds are absent.
