About
Consecrated in 1970, the cathedral is formed from sixteen curved concrete columns that rise like hands in prayer. Visitors enter through a dark passage into a bright nave beneath Marianne Peretti's stained glass, where suspended sculptures of angels hover, while bronze evangelists by Alfredo Ceschiatti stand outside.
Best time to go: Visit on a sunny day, when light pours through the stained glass and colours the whole interior.
