À propos
In the 1890s the island was given to Lord Kitchener, who filled it with plants and trees imported from around the world. Today it is the Aswan Botanical Garden, with shaded paths winding through palms, flowering trees and tropical species. It is a peaceful place to stroll, with birds all around and views of the granite rocks and dunes of the west bank.
Meilleur moment pour y aller: Reach it by felucca in the afternoon and time your return for sunset on the river.
